Weeds Can Bloom With Purpose

I almost didn’t see it at first…
I had squatted down to snap a picture of the dainty pink flowers blooming on what most would call a weed. But in that stillness, I noticed that what I thought was a stick, was actually a tiny praying mantis, perfectly camouflaged and quietly observing.

It reminded me how often God places signs and beauty right in front of us, but we only notice them when we slow down.

Be still and know that I am God… Psalm 46:10

(And if you’re curious like me, the plant is likely a type of Portulaca - commonly called moss rose or purslane. Even weeds can bloom with purpose.)
